Bio: Mara is a social anthropologist and independent consultant who has provided services for 16 universities, NGOs, and international agencies in 14 countries. Her work focuses on child protection, forced migration, and gender-based violence using decolonial frameworks. She is a fellow at Georgetown University’s Collaborative on Global Children’s Issues and is a member of ACPHA’s Localization Advisory Group and CLACSO (Latin American Council of Social Sciences).
