Our Session on February 4, at noon EST featured Ben Phillips (full bio + the recording below) sharing key tips on Building a Career Addressing the World’s Toughest Challenges. Ben is the author of How to Fight Inequality. He advises the United Nations, governments and civil society organizations and from across the world.He has combined the roles of NGO director, political advisor, civil society activist, and writer, on every continent.
Ben shared his reflections on working with some of the world’s leading organizations and networks on advancing change on global challenges including issues inequality, poverty, justice, and advancing sustainable development. He discussed what are the key skills and knowledge needed to advance bold change, how to build an ethical career, the types of career paths that are available, and key trends for the future. As with all PCDN Career Chats, there was substantial time for open discussion and questions on building a career of impact.
