The Global Campus of Human Rights is now accepting applications for the 15th Summer School in Cinema, Human Rights and Advocacy

 

Due to the global outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the programme of the 15th Summer School in Cinema Human Rights and Advocacy has been rewieved, taking into account any eventual measures adopted by the 77th Venice International Film Festival. The school, a training initiative jointly developed by the Global Campus of Human Rights and Picture People, will take place from 31 August to 6 September 2020 in Venice Lido.

The training is aimed at young professionals wishing to broaden their understanding on the connections between human rights, films, digital media and video advocacy, to share ideas and foster participatory and critical thinking on urgent human rights issues, debate with experts and filmmakers from all over the world during the 77th Venice international Film Festival and learn how to use films as a tool for social and cultural change.

Tuition waivers

The Global Campus is to offer up to 16 full tuition waivers to professionals and students whose field of expertise and research focuses on children rights and are, or wish to become, leaders in their community and worldwide to promote and protect the rights of the child through the connections between human rights, films, digital media and video advocacy.
