Description of Program

Open Call:Creative Explorations

We are running an open call for academics, artists, creative and cultural professionals and policy makers to participate in the Creative Explorations networking conference in Athens, Greece on 2 – 3 April 2020.

We are inviting applications from UK based individuals within the creative and cultural sectors to participate in the Creative Explorations event, a two-day networking conference focusing on the convergence between creative industries and digital technologies and how this impacts the ways we connect and relate to each other.

Creative Explorations is part of our Connect for Creativity project led by the British Council in Turkey; which connects creative hubs across Europe to foster creative exploration and collaborations that contribute to building a more cohesive, open and connected civil society.

The conference will bring together creative and cultural sectors, start-ups, brands, policy and digital technology communities to build dialogue and potential collaborations between cultural actors in Greece, Serbia, Turkey, the UK and beyond.

The two day event will offer participants an opportunity to exchange knowledge, ideas and experience to build dialogue and connect through workshops and discussions.

The call is open for all interested creative and cultural professionals across the UK, Europe and Western Balkans. Creative Explorations  is free and open to all public.

Travel and up to two nights’ accommodation in Athens will be covered by the project.
