State of the Field—Discoveries, Opportunities, and Challenges
November 5-8, 2020: Madison, Wisconsin

The Mind & Life 2020 Contemplative Research Conference is an international conference for rigorous interdisciplinary investigation of contemplative practices and programs in diverse contexts. Researchers from across fields and others interested in evidence-based contemplative interventions will attend. We are scientists, scholars and practitioners from areas as diverse as neuroscience, philosophy, psychology, clinical science, integrative health, contemplative scholarship, religious studies, and education.

This is a unique academic and professional gathering over 3.5 days that includes plenary sessions, panel discussions, concurrent symposia, poster sessions, community fair, contemplative arts, experiential sessions with guided meditations, and receptions and other opportunities for socializing and networking.

  • Contemplative Teaching and Learning: Equity, Research, Practice, and Pedagogy
  • Contemplative Practice Retreat

Sessions and events will provide attendees with a range of opportunities, including discussion and debate about the latest findings, interdisciplinary methodology, and relevant suggestions for putting translation into practice. In addition to invited plenary speakers and panels, the conference will feature participant driven symposia and posters,  along with opportunities for career development, networking, and contemplative arts and practices. The Education Preconference will feature panels and workshops.

  • CE Credits: Continuing Education credits will not be offered for CRC 2020.
  •  Call for Abstracts and Scholarships open February 10, 2020.
  • Early Bird registration and sponsorship opportunities will be available in Spring 2020.
