*Please note: The exact dates of the Kroc School San Diego Residency are yet to be confirmed. The health of our partners and community is our top priority. The Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice’s (Kroc IPJ) Women PeaceMakers program offers a unique opportunity for local women peacebuilders to engage in a cycle of learning, practice, research, and strengthening of peacebuilding partnerships through participation in a 12-month Fellowship. Knowing the power of the involvement of women in peace and security decision-making, the Women PeaceMakers Fellowship aims to drive forward impactful collaborations between women peacebuilders from conflict-affected communities and international partner organizations [1].

Please note, in response to the pandemic, it is envisioned that this Fellowship will primarily take place virtually. We will work with the selected Fellows to assess what opportunities exist to come together in person.

Throughout the 12-month Fellowship with the Kroc IPJ, selected Fellows will:

  • Learn from and with other leading Fellows and the Kroc School's team (to see examples of past Fellows, click here)
  • Gain new skills, perspectives, and innovative approaches to peacebuilding
  • Expand their professional peacebuilding networks
  • Drive forward vital peacebuilding research that focuses on shifting practice and policy

Fellows will receive a stipend of $5,000 plus expenses for their participation in the program.

The Women PeaceMakers Fellowship is hosted by the Kroc IPJ at the University of San Diego's (USD) Kroc School of Peace Studies. To learn more about this Fellowship:
