The Knowledge Management Fund is the Knowledge Platform’s instrument to financially support activities arising from its network. The small-scale grants awarded by the Fund offer a low barrier to entry for innovative, agile and experimental proposals. The aim of proposals is to diversify thinking and evidence in the Security & Rule of Law (SRoL) field, particularly in Fragile and Conflict-Affected Settings (FCAS).

The KMF is a €300,000 annual fund that awards grants of up to €15,000 for events, research ideas and other initiatives that contribute to improving the quality of knowledge generated by the SRoL field, and its subsequent uptake.

The 2019 KMF opens on 15 March 2019. For more information please see the KMF Information & Application Criteria

When can I apply?

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis between the opening date (15 March) and the final deadline for applications (15 November). Applications submitted before the “Deadline for Applications” shown below will be accepted or rejected by the corresponding “Decision Announcement” date.

How to apply

Interested parties are asked to complete the submission form by clicking "Apply Now" above. The budget template can be found at the bottom of this page and attached to the form. Please note that there is a new budget template for 2019. Earlier versions of the budget template will notbe accepted as they do not comply with the 2019 financial requirements. If you have any questions regarding the application process, please contact us at [email protected].

Once received, the Secretariat will assess proposals based on the criteria outlined above. If the proposal meets the eligibility criteria, the Secretariat will provide the applicant with feedback on their proposal along with its funding decision.
