Overview of the Position
Social Solutions is hiring a Project Director to lead and oversee an anticipated USAID staff augmentation contract to support USAID’s Inclusive Development Hub. The Inclusive Development Hub (ID) promotes the rights and inclusion of marginalized and under-represented populations in the development process and leads the U.S. Government’s response to address the needs of children in adversity and youth. The ID Hub provides support on integrating children in adversity, Indigenous Peoples, persons with disabilities, LGBTI persons, mental health, rehabilitation, and assistive health technologies into Agency programs.
The Project Director must be an upper-level management official with at least 10 years of experience in management, and extensive knowledge of the USAID program and budget cycle. The Project Director is an on-site position in Washington, D.C., and the incumbent must have sufficient understanding of Inclusive Development Hub technical areas to closely monitor the work, of staff assure quality control, and facilitate coordination across the technical experts working under this contract.
Lead a team of professionals who provide technical assistance in the design, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation across all ID Hub technical areas.
Provide strategic oversight and tracking of the ID Hub’s budget and financial transactions across all program areas, including all eight Congressionally mandated program areas. Maintain up-to-date, multi-year budget planning documentation for Congressionally-mandated funds and programs.
Oversee day-to-day management of the contract and coordinate the activities and deliverables under this contract.
Actively coach and mentor staff under this contract.
Ensure compliance with USAID requirements including, but not limited to, ADS 300, reporting, official documentation, and waivers.
Serve as the primary Point of Contact for the USAID Contracting Officer Representative on all matters pertaining to the contract.
Understand USAID systems/processes.
Master’s degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience including at least 5 years of program management.
Significant knowledge of staffing USAID projects.
Financial management, and contract management experience.
Experience working in a global HR function preferred.
Ability to handle multiple tasks associated with contract simultaneously, on time, and with a commitment to quality.
Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal skills for communicating with a broad, diverse audience of senior stakeholders and government officials.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize, focus, and achieve results.
Superior judgment and problem-solving capacity across project workstreams.
