ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a part-time Operations & Marketing Coordinator who values our mission and guiding principles above. The ideal candidate is looking to dedicate 10 hours a week to supporting the success of our new consultancy firm, with openness to the growth of this role.  This Coordinator role is based remotely and open to candidates based in the US, with preference to be near where leadership members reside in Oakland, CA, New York, NY, or Pittsburgh, PA. The Coordinator will work in a collaborative and team-oriented work environment and will report to Jessica Loman, who leads JS operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

For this role the key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Operations 

  • Support calendar management of the team
  • Participate in weekly meetings, take notes, and manage follow ups
  • Help maintain and develop business systems and processes. Systems such as: Zoom, HubSpot, MailChimp, Asana, and Google Drive
  • Assist with event coordination of speakers, team members, promotion, production, and follow-up
  • Support with billing and payroll
  • Maintaining file organization
  • Assist in managing organizations’ contracts and agreements
  • Provide support to new team member onboarding and training including IT and new account set-ups
  • Other project coordination and systems management for the team, as needed

Marketing

  • Assist with content creation and design for marketing and communications collateral
  • Help manage the e-newsletters, social media, blogs, and other mass communication
  • Support with management of the JS website (currently on SquareSpace)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 1 year of experience in business operations and/or administration
  • Interest in wellbeing in the workplace, business consulting, impact investing, philanthropy, and social entrepreneurship
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, and ability to show initiative and work independently
  • Exceptional organizational, written and oral communication skills, and strong attention to detail
  • Able to work remotely, and open to travel 1-2 times a year (when it is safer to do so)
  • Proficiency in G Suite, particularly with Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Spreadsheets, Forms, & Drive
  • Desired proficiency in Zoom, HubSpot, MailChimp, Asana, and SquareSpace
  • Excellent written, reading, and verbal skills in English

COMPENSATION

This is a part-time contractor position with opportunity for growth. Compensation begins at $20-25/hour commensurate with experience.
