International Programmes Manager

(£38,200 per year)

Peace Direct is looking for a dynamic and experienced Programme Manager to oversee all major projects which are part of the organisation’s international programmes portfolio and to ensure their effective management. This post is a maternity cover for up to 12 months.

This is an exciting opportunity for somebody who is passionate about supporting locally led peacebuilding, has experience overseeing a complex portfolio of projects and is able to hit the ground running to take over the management of projects, as well as contribute to programme development.

As International Programmes Manager, you will be part of the International Programmes team and work with Programme Officers and partners to oversee and support effective peacebuilding projects. You will have oversight of several large projects, so we expect the successful candidate to have excellent project management and organisational skills, brilliant interpersonal skills and the ability to think creatively.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience in a similar or relevant role, as well as management experience. We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for our mission to support local efforts to build peace.

The applicant must be fluent in written and spoken English and French.

In our efforts to be a diverse and inclusive employer, with equality of opportunities regardless of personal identity, we strongly encourage individuals from disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds to apply, including Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME), LGBTQ+, neurodivergent thinkers, people with disabilities and people with mental health challenges.

Interested candidates should send a completed application form to outlining why they are interested in the role and what experience and insights they would bring to Peace Direct. Please cite PCDN as the source of the posting in your application.
