The International Diploma in Humanitarian Assistance (IDHA) is the flagship program of the Institute of International Humanitarian Affairs (IIHA) at Fordham University that equips mid-career professionals to drive the humanitarian sector of the future. The IIHA is currently accepting applications for incoming participants of the next IDHA at Fordham University’s Lincoln Center campus in New York, New York, taking place from May 31 - June 27, 2020. For over 20 years, this intensive, four-week training has welcomed over 3,000 humanitarian workers in cities around the world - from Kathmandu to Amman, New York to Geneva. Directed by IDHA alumni practitioners, this diploma program is designed to propel participants to the next level in their humanitarian careers. Humanitarians seeking a more effective, sustainable, and dignified direction will find IDHA supports them in creating positive social change in and out of the field through the range of disciplines covered, including: management, logistics, health, psychology, social sciences, anthropology, communication, agriculture, environment, education, conflict resolution, international law, civil/military relations, security, media, politics, and economics.
During this program, students will receive daily lectures from world-renowned humanitarian experts. They will engage in collaborative learning opportunities through case studies, scenario exams, debates, presentations and experiential learning activities.
